In New York it was snowing and Andee happened to be right on the edge of New York City. She had never seen snow before, not like this at least. Usually she stayed where it didn't snow during the winter. Sometimes where she was she had seen snow fall down from the sky but never before had she seen it collect on the ground this thickly, so thick that it went up to the middle of her calf. Her combat boots crunched through the hard outer crust as she slammed her foot down with each step in order to reach the ground underneath.
She looked up at the snowflakes falling from the ground and she smiled, stopping for a moment to look out across the countryside at the beauty of the white snow against the darkness of night. She felt her heart balloon with the feeling of freedom in this the beautiful night. The moon made the snow practically glow and she breathed in the crisp cool air. She felt as if she could fly, there was nothing around her. The place was bare of human touch. Feeling free of this horrible humanity that had wrecked the world Andee began to run. Her body crashing through the snow and pushing it up on either side of her.
Her usually pale cheek were bright red from the cold wind. Suddenly she misstepped (she was so much more clumsy in her human form) and she was tumbling into the snow, tucking her body and rolling until she lay flat on her back. She was breathing heavy as she lay there on top of the snow, only half way down to the frozen ground beneath. She stared up at the black sky that was dark with gray clouds and yet parts of the stars still shown through. She was amazed by how beautiful this world could be and yet still how cruel it could be. She wished she could grow wings and fly up and out of this world sometimes.
She shrugged her leather jacket closer. IT was getting colder as the night grew closer to morning. But Andee couldn't bring herself to leave the beauty of the open night and flee into her dark green 1969 Pontiac GTO. She had parked it on the shoulder of the road and had left it there a couple hours ago when she had decided she needed to get away from the humans who were slowly ruining the earth. She wondered sometimes why she protected them.

Makaiya looked at the night sky as she stayed on the bench, by this so called park, she sniffled, and sneeze. She was barefooted, she didn’t have anything warm besides her white dress, and she was just a star. She didn’t understand mother natures weather, and why it was so cold, she began to shake, and chatter. It was quite beautiful, yes indeed. The moon was going down, which made a beautiful twilight colour, it was all so gorgeous, the stars were now going to sleep, and then be fully recharge to laugh at her again, they probably forgot about her, they must have.
She stared down at the snow, and smiled. She loved how the children would come out and plays with this sheet of cotton candy...CANDY! Her eyes brighten, and she smiled gleefully, she got a hand full of snow, and ate some, then she quickly spat it out, this cotton candy was horrible , she thought.
She went back to the bench, and laid down on her side on it, she was going to freez to death again... but there will be no angel reviving her this time, she began to cry, but when she cried the tears formed ice, and they were just frozen form of glittered. She wished someone kind could take her in, and keeps her warm, but the world wasn’t that kind any more, and they never will be.

Andee head tilted at the sound of crying. She stood and moved quickly toward the sound. Her hunter's instincts were on guard and she paused. Her head quirked again as she hurried to the possibly injured person. Soon she saw someone dressed in a dress just as white as the snow. She wore no jacket or anything to keep her warm. She bit her lip. Why would someone be out in the cold without anything to keep her warm? She inhaled deeply, trying to catch the woman's scent and she searched through the coldness that was the snow until she came to her warm smell.
She wasn't human! But what she was Andee couldn't tell. She didn't smell like a demon, she didn't have that confusing yet definitely evil scent of a demon or angry spirit. So what was she? Curious, as all cats were, Andee approached her closer until she was standing over her. She reached down to brush the back of her fingers over the girl's arm. Her emerald green eyes shone gently with sympathy. This girl had obviously been the one crying. She had frozen tears stuck to her face. What had she been crying about?
"Hey are you okay?" Andee asked, the shape-shifter was genuinely concerned. If she was homeless and didn't have a jacket Andarial had a extra jacket in her car. She knew of several shelters where the girl could stay. But rarely did she say anything about them to homeless people. Usually it was the vagabonds choice to stay away from homes. Usually they wanted to be free. Andee could understand that. She preferred just living out of her car or the motel rooms, even tents. But still this girl didn't seem to be too happy about her current situation.

She felt someone fingers brush on her arm, she opened her eyes to see a woman over her, asking if she was alright, she was too cold to sit up, but she did it anyway, she canted her head to understand why this woman was worrying about her, and she smiled and laughed. “I am alright...j-j- just c-cold” She stuttered, and sneezed. She was probably getting a cold, but why would they call it a cold when she wasn’t cold, she was but she didn’t get it. She eyed the woman up and down, and stared at her with her big star like eyes that glowed with curiosity. She shook a bit, but it wasn’t that bad, not like last time she nearly died.
She tilted her head, and looked at the woman, she was pretty but she looked like a hunter, she smiled big, and shaked in excitement. “Who are you?” She asked, in a exciting, and happy tone. She would probably wondered why would she be out here alone, and was she homeless. She had a home, but it was far up in the sky, and yes she was less, because she was nothing but a failure, outcast, and a disgrace. So she guessed she was less of everything.

Who was she? Sometimes she asked that question herself. Who was she? A jaguar or a human? A hunter or something being hunted? It was so confusing sometimes and sometimes she just wanted throw herself down on the ground and give up. Allow those humans to catch her and put a bullet in her. But of course she couldn't do that, her instincts wouldn't let her and Andee, being half-jaguar was a slave to her instincts. She was at their beck and call, thrown this way and that, just like with her emotions. She couldn't do anything about it either!
The girl was cold too. Andee wandered closer and said, "My car is a little bit a ways from here. Inside is an extra coat, do you want it?" She smiled at the woman encouragingly to show she wasn't some attacker. Andee waited for the answer and then her mind began to wander. What was this girl doing out here? She wasn't human so she could probably take care of herself but Andee had to wonder because it was wintertime in the U.S. and this creature had nothing to keep her warm. Maybe she didn't feel the cold.
Andee decided to answer the girls question, "My name is Andarial or Andee. Who are you?" She wanted to ask what are you, but held her tongue. The supernatural being might not know that Andee was a shape-shifter no reason to alert her. If the person did turn out to be evil then perhaps she would have the advantage over the girl if the woman didn't know Andee was a supernatural creature too. Still one had to wonder. There were far more things out there than Andee knew about. She wondered what kind of creature this was.

She looked at the woman as she stared back; they were examining each other, so she knew she wasn’t human but how? Was this hunter not human if so what is she? She smiled, and nodded at her, and her eyes turned into a deep shade of blue, she was cold, and quite sad, because she was stuck in this predicament again, someone always had to help her, and it made her quite upset cause she couldn’t help in return, she then snapped out of her thinking and sad phase and focused on the woman, she smiled at her again, and nodded when she told her she had a jacket, but then her face saddened because she was taking things from a person again, and she didn’t like that.
She smiled when she said her name, it was quite beautiful unlike hers it was ugly, she sighed, “I am Makaiya, nice to meet you Andee, yes yes?” She said, swaying back and forth, and smiling, and squealing all cheery. She smiled, but shook because she was still quite cold, and her feet were burning she wished she had one of those things, what were they called...oh shoes, she never wore any, she thought they kept her from her freedom, and made her look strange, but now she knew the reason why people wore them. Andee's gaze now traveled down to the woman's naked feet. The only extra shooes she had were slip on slipper like dress shoes. They would go with the girls white dress as they were the same piercing white and Andee could always buy extra dress shoes. These had no heels on them so the girl could walk in them if she wasn't used to wearing heels, Now Andee wasn't one to give things away, not when she might need them for a hunt but this poor woman looked completely lost and stuck out without these things of nexessity in the human world. She would be hunted down immediately and killed by the other hunters and she didn't seem like nor smell like something evil,
So Andee was forced to help the girl out. Because though Andee had killed a human before, her father to be exact, she had changed her ways. She was no longer controlled by her Hunger for human flesh, or at least not in a way she couldn't control. She had learned long ago if she hunted supernatural beings or animals it would sate the Hunger for a while. Calming her aches and pains in both her mind and her body.
"Yes it's nice to meet you too," Andee said with a small smile. This girl seemed a bit like a child. Easily excitable and easily saddened. "Come with me." She said and began to walk in the other direction, glancing back behind her to see if the girl was following.

She looked at Andee, and smiled happily, she was reading her like a book, and anyone could read her. She was just that type of person, she nodded when she told her to come, as she followed she hopped on the rocks, and twirled on them, but continued to follow her, she felt the rocks soft, and coldness, but why was it so hard when it was smooth? She enjoyed nature, but sometimes the nature could hurt her, the only nature that didn’t was fire because she need heat, and well she could absorb it, and warm up. She sighed, and blinked her eyes up at the sky; it was a gorgeous red and blue, maybe pink. She smiled, and glowed with happiness, she then twirled around.
She began singing and swaying, ignoring the burning feeling on her feet from the snow, she laughed, and smiled and continued to sing, hopefully Andee didn’t mind, she then stopped, and stopped for a second, and looked at the trees, and the birds. They were singing like her, so she mimics their chirps, and calls. She was always good at copying that’s why up where the stars were they called her copy star, because they thought she was just a false star, that didn’t deserve to be there. She sighed, and continued to walk with Andee until they got to a warm place.
