Las Vegas The lights, the screaming, and the hot air rushed around everywhere. It was all about the gambling, booze and money, that’s what Las Vegas was all about, not for it great sites, and rides just for all the green that was on the table, that was the life here, but under this gambling life, it was the life no one else knew about cause they were busy being green, then being red.
The echoing of the tapping shoes, yowled in the endless void and dump they called a sewer, Makaiya held her dress, and ran as fast as she could, the smell was horrible and the sad thing was she was covered in dirt but that wasn’t the point right now, it was catching up to her, and it was going to rip her apart Star or not. It growled and snarled behind being the monster it was, the sound it was making was very unspeakable, and to scary to talk about even for her to speak about.
She fell to the ground, and cried, she looked back to see it stop for awhile and look around, the only thing she could see was a shadow that moved it’s head around franticly looking for it’s damn food, she cried then she stood up and ran. She remembered an entrance to the surface was around but she couldn’t find it, if she had passed it she would have to hold on until she found…she looked up to see the entrance. She quickly climbed on the ladder and opened it, escaping the claws that swiped at her feet.
She saw the bright lights, they looked like stars, she smiled big, and twirled around not knowing she was in the street one of those metal starts yelled at her, she nodded and quickly moved out the way, and walked along the sidewalk, looking at all the casinos, and lights, it was all so gorgeous. She then walked into this big place, with this soft stuff on the ground that rubbed against her feet, she saw all the tables, and she even heard balls shooting from a pool table. The people were screaming because they were winning, she smiled and began walking further into the chaos.

Lariel thought Las Vegas to be one of earth’s most fascinating locations thus far. The city was full of life, the streets brightly lit and rather alluring to the star. Despite the fact night had settled, the city appeared to have become more vibrant than before, buildings gleaming and people running amuck beneath the pale moonlight. She often found herself gazing into casino and restaurant windows, wishing she could join those inside. However, she bounced down the crowded sidewalk, her search for Makaiya of topmost importance.
The young star was not far; Lariel could sense her, pinpoint her exact position. She had not met Makaiya personally, but she hoped for both the child’s sake as well as her own that no difficulties would arise. She wanted to retrieve the alleged special star as quickly as she was able to in order to return to her leisurely life in retirement. Why the council was so adamant on Lariel being the individual to escort Makaiya back she did not know, although it incredibly pissed her off. She was old; there had to be much younger able bodied stars that could have done the job as capably or better than herself.
Drifting into one of the many casinos, she wondered what in the world Makaiya would be doing here of all places? Lariel pushed her way through the ever-growing throng of gamblers and partygoers, unfazed by the angry stares or colorful vocabulary they used when she stepped on a foot or elbowed an unlucky few in the stomach. Her eyes narrowed as she saw a rather beautiful woman among the masses, knowing instantly that she was the star Lariel was pursuing.
“You’ve been a naughty young lady,” she reprimanded, grabbing Makaiya by the arm and heaving her toward the entrance.

She squealed at the hard grab, she opened her eyes to realize, it was a former star more of a guardian star. She struggled around trying to run away from her grasp, she cried and squirmed, everyone stared at the madness, she then stopped crying and began walking, pulling along with all her strength. " Let me go, I didn't do anything" She yelled, everyone began to whisper and spread rumors about things, she didn't understand about these Rumors or these endless Whispers She was sick of, sick of it all!
She scream and struggled the past was clinging on, grasping on to her air, she couldn't breathe she was sick of it all, she felt dead inside, she wondered why the council sent her to retrieve her ,s he whimpered, and looked to Lariel. She then stopped, and smiled. She didn't want to fight. " What do you want, fellow star" She asked, wondering what she really was here for, she wanted this madness to stop why would they look for her now, was she here to torment? She then looked down, and sighed, she then looked at her with her blue silt eyes.

Lariel disregarded the young star’s struggle as she dragged Makaiya through the crowd and out of the casino. People gazed uncertainly in their direction; however one glance from Lariel caused them to look the other way. Humans ought to learn not to stick their noses in a star’s business. Releasing Makaiya from her grip, Lariel folded her arms across her chest, fixing the child before her with an angry stare. “The council has sent me to retrieve you,” she replied, rolling her eyes. “They changed their minds and want you back. Lets hope they still feel the same when we return.”
Curling a strand of her hair around a finger, Lariel stomped her foot impatiently as she awaited Makaiya’s response. She didn’t look special at all to the elder star. In fact, she looked rather pathetic; childish actually. “The council better be right about you,” she muttered. “They pulled me out of retirement for this shiz.”
“What do you want, fellow star”
“I want to get a move on, so I can return to a life of unemployment.” Despite the fact earth was extremely fascinating, she wanted to leave as fast as she was able. Maybe she would drop by every now and then; at least in time for the next Twilight novel.

Makaiya was now outside, in the beautiful los Vegas breeze but the breeze wasn’t beautiful with this star around, she sighed and looked down, and began to whimper and cry. “I do not want to go, I would like to stay her” She yelled, and begged. This star was self fish all she cared about was vacation cause she was a hag, Makaiya didn’t like it all stars were like that snobby, and selfish no wonder why she didn’t get along with any of the other one, she sniffled and looked at her with her big sad blue glowing eyes. She wondered if this star had fun, or enjoyed candy or even like humans!!
She was just so...cruel and selfish just selfish, she pouted and folded her arms, mimicking the star. “Why would the council care about me? They hate me so you should go back, and and…be sparkly with Edward!” She said, she knew about this star Lariel the obsessed Twilight fan, and she didn’t like twilight much or this star at that but she couldn’t hate her she was one of them, she loosened up, and just smiled. “ I am sorry that was rude…I don’t want to go back..So please just go back” She said, smiling sweetly.

“Sorry kiddo, but that’s not up to you or me,” Lariel replied gruffly. “I am here on account of the council not because I want to, understand?” Although she struggled to retain the mounting anger, the elder star could not deny her irritation. It had been a little over a hundred years since she willfully retired from the council; under the given circumstances her frustration was understandable. She primarily held the council responsible, however if Makaiya had not been foolish enough to fall to earth than Lariel would not be here in the first place.
“You don’t belong here,” she retorted. “You’re not human, you’re a star; stars belong up there!” Lariel motioned toward the sky. “Now here’s the plan: you’re coming with me – like it or not – and I am going to deliver you safe and sound to the council.” Despite her best efforts to persuade Makaiya to accompany her, Lariel did not think the young star would do as she said. Makaiya was childlike – naïve– and reasonably stubborn. If push came to shove Lariel would take Makaiya against her will. She was not going to chase the so-called special star around the world until she caved in to Lariel’s demands – that was for sure.

She pouted then she wonder to scream at her but then she saw all the people around them staring she smiled big, and folded her arms again” Your doing very baddy at your jobby” She said, as she pointed to the people around them who were staring as if they were watching some kind of soap opera, and Makaiya didn’t understands those either she didn’t understand anything, but no way was she letting this star take her back, she wanted to learn about the humans and fit in, at least they didn’t judge others. But then she thought.
“Stop following orders like a old dog, just because you want to get the old bone” She yelled, she was sick of it, she was tired and wanted to rest, but she wasn’t going to step down and feel low, she has known someone who was like that, and she wasn’t going to feel like crap about it, she sighed and relaxed, then she placed her hands on her hips, and stared at her with a hateful gaze, her eyes a chilling blue, she then backed away, and ran back into the casino and hid somewhere so she couldn’t find her.

Lariel snorted. “Well, it’s not my fault you’re too simple-minded to understand the complexity of my mission.” She did not want to be here of all places. Makaiya obviously could not comprehend the reasoning behind her duties or loyalty to the council. If Lariel were selfish she would not have made the journey to earth to begin with, nor would she care about the younger star’s safety. “Not only do you not belong here, you are in danger –” Before she could elaborate, Makaiya scampered back into the casino.
Sighing in frustration, the elder star sauntered in after her. Makaiya could not hide from Lariel; she could easily pinpoint the child’s energy among the many individuals crowding the place. Instead of pursuing Makaiya, Lariel took a seat at the bar. She did not order anything off the menu; she just simply remained situated on the stool, waiting for the youngster’s next move. Makaiya could run, but not hide. Lariel easily became tired of hide-and-seek.
She did not understand why Makaiya desired to stay here in the first place. Humans were corrupt. A naïve star such as Makaiya would effortlessly be taken advantage of. Perhaps a little trial and error would push her onto the right track and back to the council.

Makaiya knew she couldn’t hide but she could run, maybe back to the sewer but then that think would be there, she sighed and ran around then she saw the bar where Lariel was, she backed away and turned around and run, she hid around the corner, and hugged her legs, she didn’t want to leave all the great friends she made, and the angel she ran into she didn’t want to leave for the sky, she wanted to stay on earth where she was somebody, and she felt loved and wanted why would she want to take that away.
She began sobbing, and crying, she hugged her legs, she would have to face the music some time, but she didn’t want to go she loved this world such a beautiful world, she didn’t care if it was corrupt or falling a apart by demons and angels, she didn’t care.
