Eli shifted awkwardly. Although spacious the hospital bed was horribly uncomfortable, the mattress terribly stiff and oddly angled, causing even more discomfort. A tray of food sat before her, however her eyes lingered on the television screen despite the appetizing dessert that remained on her plate. The death toll had risen, a murder taking place a day subsequent to her own accident. Frowning, the young woman sighed inwardly as the anchor verbalized her name for the umpteenth time in his smooth baritone.
The hunter was a highly private individual. She noticeably cringed each time Eli Cross resounded from the TV, spoken by unfamiliar faces who effortlessly managed to impart her identity as well as whereabouts to the entire state of Ohio. Information traveled fast and when she awoke late this morning she had discovered herself to be a prominent figure discussed on the national news broadcasts as well.
Until now not a single individual had been spared by the serial killer who had brutally slaughtered fourteen women in two weeks. Law enforcement was unable to acquire a lead on the case. The corpses had been ravaged, the victims’ throats slit and choice bodily organs removed most expertly, baffling both medical practitioners and scientists. Eli never suspected that the culprit was mortal. The only reason she survived the onslaught was due to her familiarity with the supernatural. After all, the murderer was a demon.
Ever since she regained consciousness there had been FBI officials interviewing her, wanting information, for her to recall the incident even if she said she could not. She would not tell them. Ordinary people did not need to get involved with a demon—even more bloodshed would ensue. What she needed to do was get a hold of a hunter. Even though she wanted to, she was in no shape to jump into the fray. It hurt to move and it hurt to breath, she was incapable of standing on her own two feet.
Downright exhausted, Eli groaned in protest as the door to her room opened. Would she ever have an hour to herself? She could not make any calls if she kept on being pestered.

Shiloh had managed to finally get through all of the police barriers and around the doctor's annoying visiting protocols. Though all she had really done was a lot of heavy yet convincing lying about how her dear cousin was the one all over the news and laying in the hospital bed needing the comfort of family. She added some tears and hysteric sobs to go with her story, and they had all eaten it up and let her pass through. She felt kind of bad for having to lie to them like that, but she knew if she told the truth there was no way they would let her in to see Eli. She needed to see how her friend was doing, as she nearly choked on the dinner she had been eating when she saw Eli's name plastered all over the news saying that she had been attacked.
It had taken a lot of effort from her to walk down the hallways calmly though she had desperately wanted to bolt down the white and pristine hallways. Which probably would have gotten her into some trouble. But after a few minuets and a couple stops to ask for directions she had made it to the right door. Easing the door open slowly she peeked around it to see if Eli was asleep or not. She hoped that she was still up so she could talk or then she'd have to come back tomorrow and agonize all night about if she was alright.
She lucked out as she saw Eli sitting up in bed and turned her head towards the sound of the door opening, she looked pretty beaten up and tired. But Shiloh saw that she was fully conscious and aware which was a good sign. It took a lot to knock Eli down so she was glad that she wasn't in any worse shape.
"I saw you on the news this evening, you looked nice." She joked tactlessly knowing Eli wouldn't really rise to her bait. She stepped into the room and moved to the one of the chairs in the room and dragged it over to Eli's bed without making to much noise and sat down in it.

Meanwhile, Sam and his brother had caught wind of the events that had been transpiring in Ohio. It didn't take no rocket scientist to figure that out. However, what did take rocket science was what did the dirty work that they were after. They had no idea that Eli Cross had been on the same hunt as they had been. Yet if the found the turn of events to be as bad as they were, they would probably not only jump for joy, but also feel bad for the hunter girl. Not too long ago had they met the female hunter on another hunt. Sam had come to find her to be a spunky women, while his brother found her to be too similar as her.
Natural Sam had found the information for the hunt on the net, through papers, and then eventually from watching the news. It seemed like it was becoming a big deal. Once they had settled into town, they had eventually decided to get cracking down on what the jig was. One of the things that they had agreed on doing was visiting and of the victims that either died or survived to get a clue as to what was going on. The one thing they didn't know much of was that it was a demon. The other thing that they didn't know much was, that Eli was in the very hospital that they were looking into. That was until Sam had stumbled upon Eli's room, the door open just a little bit.
"Hey, hey Dean?" he tapped his brother on the shoulder trying to get his attention. "Hey, isn't that Eli Cross. You know the one girl we met a while back?"

Dean had, had himself pretty well preoccupied with talking to a nurse when Sam had interrupted him. Sure he had been trying to get a scoop on what was going on, but hey the nurse to him was very hod. So he flirted just a bit. It wasn't a sin to flirt in his mind at least a little. But, he was taken from that very abruptly. At first he wanted to give Sam a glare, yet when he saw the same thing that Sam had after having turned around, he gave up on that. Instead, he pursed his lips at the situation, and then smiled a bit. In some ways it was interesting seeing the hunter in such a predicament. At the same time, he did feel bad for her.
"Well, well, well....how interesting. Come on then Sam. Let's go give our little female friend a hello and a get well greeting shall we. Maybe she might know a bit of what is going on around here. That would be a plus for us and make our job a hell of a lot easier. And for me, easier is good. So yeah, lets go." he stated as if he made going his idea instead of Sam's. He knew he would get an eye rolling from his brother, but he did care. He loved giving Sam hell. So naturally he dragged Sam over to the door where he saw another girl talking to her already. At that point he was unsure if he should go in.

Relaxing, Eli’s mouth curved into a subtle smile at the sight of Shiloh. “I am delighted you took the time to visit,” she responded, glad to see the fellow hunter once more. She was slightly surprised, although pleased, by the other woman’s unexpected appearance and presence within her hospital room. Shiloh had not been the only individual to have caught a glimpse of Eli on the television or newspaper; her mother consistently called her cell phone since the news broke. Being the sole survivor of the now infamous serial killer comprised of both pros and cons.
The murders had to be brought to an abrupt standstill; the situation was quickly growing out of control. She did not know the culprit’s reasoning behind his actions, although she at least identified precisely what they were dealing with. Glancing warily around the room, Eli leaned forward, lowering her voice to a barely audible whisper. “The perpetrator is a demon,” she said. “It is a formidable opponent; far more intellectual than most.”
Eli drew her shirt above her abdomen, wrenching a few bandages back to reveal stitching. “Caught me off guard,” she admitted sourly. “The knife managed to nick me from here to here.” The hunter pointed out where the stitching began and ended, lower stomach to just below her ribcage. Securing the dressings, she arched her neck, displaying a swathe of bandages. “Attempted to slit my throat in the vein of his previous murders.”
“The demon must not be taken lightly. I have not had a great deal of time to investigate, however . . .,” Eli paused, narrowing her eyes; she could hear voices outside. “We have guests.” She nodded her head toward the door. “I hope that they have not been eavesdropping. That is quite impolite.”

Shiloh's grinned widen a little as Eli's words made her feel as if she were giving her a royal visit or something of the sort. Well at least with her visit it wasn't so much about bombarding her with interrogation questions about what happened before and during the attack. As she was sure the police and whatever law enforcement had been called in to look it had done before allowing visitors. She shuddered at the thought of having to even deal with the local news reporters who she had seen a couple of vans hounding around the hospital before she entered.
Seeing Eli look around the room for any prying eyes or ears, she knew that whatever she was going to say was strictly Hunter business so she leaned forward in her chair towards Eli to make it easier to whisper. Shiloh felt a twinge of surprise to hear that the culprit was a demon, but it didn't entirely surprise her. As she knew all to well that sort of things demons were capable of. But what did surprise her was that Eli admitted it was smarter than most of them. That didn't sound like a very good sign to her.
Seeing the injuries that her friend sustained Shiloh was filled with an odd mix of amazement and anger. She was amazed at how her friend was able to survive and dodge most of the blows from the attack. But the other part of her was royally pissed at the demon trying to crave Eli up like a Christmas ham. If she got her hands on the demon she was definitely going to pay them back in spade....and maybe a little more than that.
Just as Eli had stopped in mid sentence she felt a prickle from her left eye which was followed by a feeling of being watched, that proved to be true a second later when Eli motioned her head towards the door. "Be right back..." Shiloh whispered soft so that only Eli could have heard and got up from her chair. She walked as if she where going towards the water jug next to the bedside counter. But one she was in the door's blind spot she crept along the wall to the door, one hand reached to her back where she kept her gun hidden. She didn't pull it out in case whoever was eavesdropping turned out to be someone harmless but she kept it ready. Once positioned on the other side of the door she grabbed the knob and swiftly pulled the door open so that whoever was on the other side couldn't run.
"Yes can I help you?" she asked in her innocent tone, which she used for when she didn't want to pose a threat to anyone.

Sam almost stumbled back over himself when he saw a girl standing there in front of her. He supposed he should have just walked in, but he didn't want to prove as rude or inconsiderate. Yet for some odd reason he felt that way anyways. Even if he didn't have any reason too. The woman before him seemed very rough and brazen with her isms. It didn't really scare him, just more threw him off a bit. At first he couldn't seem to get anything out from being overly startled. Yet finally he did.
"Um, I uh...well I mean.....my brother and I...well we know Eli Cross. We just wanted to come say hi to her and what not. We uh...are here on business ourselves, so yeah we decided to see what was going on since we saw her while being here already as was." he commented stammering a lot. Yeah that really off guard thing got to him. But he gave a sigh and let it be. He put his hands in the pockets he had and looked at the girl. He then remember to add in his name. "I am Sam, and this is my brother, Dean." he stated.

Dean rolled his eyes in exasperation. His brothers stumbling over himself was always funny, but also seemed so cliche of himself. A part of him just wanted to push him and the girl out of the way so he could go and talk to Eli in the hospital room. Dean wasn't one for wanting to linger in hospitals. Especially the hall's for some odd reason. However, he behaved himself and gave a small smile to the woman in front of him. Trying to play off the more coy sort of stare, instead of the inwardly annoyed stare he had.
"Yes, I am Dean. And yeah Sasquatch here is Sam. Him and I met Eli over business. Couldn't be a crime to visit someone could it. Epecially if it is someone you know right?" he stated with a sweet tone and continued not letting her have time to answer. "Right. So seeing how that is, we really would like to see Eli. I'll even asked nicely. Please?"
He gave her a semi pathetic look that he knew his brother would surely roll his eyes at over. However, Dean didn't care. They had more important matters to worry about. Such as what the heck was going on in Ohio.
