HISTORY: He didn't know. He didn't think it through. He figured he could get out of it- after all, he was a deity and the luck was with him. He took that deal- ten years with the girl of his dreams, the unborn son, and a mortal life a head of him. The consequence- never return to earth. For him it was the only way, he couldn't have contact with them if he stayed a deity- for him, this was all or nothing.
Caerus only wanted to be with the girl he loved, they got married after he locked lips with the crossroads demon who turned him mortal as a part of their deal. Using the name and identity of his vessel caerus was now living as Jackson Caerus Hawes. It was only short 4 months after the Hawes' marriage she gave birth to a healthy, handsome, boy. Caerus, wanting to keep something Greek to the child's name, decided upon the middle name of Gnaeus after his brothers, Gaspiel and Laneus. His wife came up with his first name, Calvin.
For ten years Calvin lived with his father, he taught him much about the supernatural and many ways of staying alive. Caerus kept his son in action, making him take self-defense classes before he allowed him in action with the supernatural. He stayed honest with Calvin, telling him he had only a year with him before he'd go home. Calvin never understood what home was until the day he was brought to Heaven. It was years after his father left when Calvin himself was taken to Heaven, only to see his father beside angels and deities at a meeting of some sort. It was then they explained to him what was going on, the odd things he could do were simply because he was indeed a demigod.
